Melissa Alexis Rodriguez, Esq.
Born and raised in New Jersey to Cuban and Puerto Rican parents, Melissa is a first-generation attorney dedicated to serving individuals in New York and New Jersey in employment law and family law matters. She understands that when clients seek an attorney, they are often facing some of the most difficult and consequential moments of their lives. They need more than legal advice — they need someone who will listen, provide clear guidance and advocate for their best interests.
With over a decade of experience, Melissa has successfully represented clients both at the negotiation table and in the courtroom. She is determined, persistent and unafraid to take on difficult opponents or complex legal disputes.
Melissa believes that strong representation begins with strategic preparation. She takes the time to understand not only the legal issues, but also the people behind them. From there, she develops a focused strategy, provides honest and practical guidance and works relentlessly to protect her clients’ rights.
Whether a matter can be resolved through negotiation or requires litigation, Melissa is prepared to advocate for her clients at every stage of the legal process. Her approach is both personal and deliberate: compassion for the client, readiness for the challenge and unwavering pursuit of the best possible result.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Seton Hall University, where she developed a strong passion for writing, storytelling and persuasive communication. Those skills became the foundation for her legal career, allowing her to develop compelling narratives and present persuasive arguments.
She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law, where she excelled in trial advocacy and moot court competitions. What Melissa finds most meaningful about advocacy is the opportunity to take the facts of a case, find the story at its heart and make sure her client’s voice is heard.
